So, we are living in The ZONE. Yes, it is a Desert, but it is not all Sand, Rocks and Boulders. Take a look around for yourselves. I live in the Valley of the Sun, the Phoenix area. Just east of Phoenix in Scottsdale. This is a desert region. We have several manmade lakes and forested areas here. Over the years there has been some terraforming here. We do have some lush green areas and large lakes. The Salt River Project, our Power & Water Co. has installed Hydro-Power Dams and Canals to deliver water for drinking and irrigation. At right one of the lake systems in Paoago park and below part of the canal system. Yes, it does rain here. We have the Monsoons July thru September. Let’s just say it rains twice a year and I don’t have to shovel it !! Desert Monsoon down pour in my front yard !! Heritage Square downtown Phoenix. this is where all of the awesome old buildings are. This is an old Victorian open for tours. This was built for an Army Doctor way back in the day. Near by here are the museums. This is a nice area to explore in Phoenix. I like this part of the city. You can also see alot of the Spanish Colonial architecture down here as well. Taken from the parking structure at the Arizona Science Center. An awesome view of Camelback Mountain. Note the older homes from way back in the day. There is a lot of old architecture around here to see. Below are photos of the Castle up on Camelback Mountain. This Castle was built the way old castles were built, very authentic details. A Dentist hired his clients to do the work in exchange for their dental work. This is probably as close as we get to having a Real castle in the U.S. I Love it, I think it is awesome !! I am a simple man who lives a simple life. However !! If I had the bucks, I think I would live here. I just love old castles, they are so cool. I love the old heavy architecture. Imagine the Renaissance Parties I could have up here... HUZZAH !!
