Islands of Enchantment, the Philippines is a Tropical Paradise dispite her

economic struggles. My visit to the Philippines was awsome, the Filipino people

are wonderful! Nothing compares to Filipino Hospitality! A land that has faced many

trials, her people remain strong and enduring. After three hundred years under the

occupation of Spain, the invasioin by Japan and being a brief commonwealth of

America. This country and her people emmerge as proud and strong.

U.S. occupation. The Lion
represents the former

Spanish occupation.

The Philippines was once a commonwealth of the United States.

U.S. General, Douglas MacArthur was the Governor General of the Philippines. He was loved and

respected by the Filipino people because he kept his promise to the people. General, MacArthur went

against the President of the United States wishes and returned to the Philippines. He said,

"I shall return." and he did. A man of honor, not affraid to stand up for what is right.

One of the few Republicans I can say I respect. This is a photo of the General

in Manila in 1944. The plate reads "PHILIPPINE ONE" this is the

General's car now in a museum in Manila.

One of the most beautiful

and untouched islands in the

Philippines. All development is

regulated on Palawan to preserve

natural resources. This is a major

resort on the island for guests.

are beautiful and of high standards.

like Hawaii without the

Luzon is the large island

at the northern tip of

the Philippines.

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is the President of the Philippines.

She has a website where people can contact her staff, just click

Political Leaders including her Father who was President decades ago.
